newbie question about strut bar...

ok so i've been hearing/reading about how you need to tighten the bolts certain amount(torque). i was just wondering if this is really that important. my strut bar will get here pretty soon and i figured i would just tighten it enough to unscrew them later without a problem. how should i go about installing it without breaking something on a hard turn.

just did my strut bar today. taking the bolts off will require some force but you should torque them down to 30 +/-2 . It's in the stickies, but I don't know. My 99 had 22mm bolts whereas the stickies called for 19mm. I'm a bit skeptical about the writeup.

I don't think you are going to break something. Tighten the bolts on the strut bar until they are tight (not a power contest) .
