I'm going to do the front's clear, but I'm thinking that the rears would look better all red on my superblack Max.
Does anyone manufacture these .. or do I have to buy clear lights and paint them with red lacquer ? Would it be a stupid idea to consider painting the orange lights with red on the inside (might just give me dark orange ?)

If I should get the clears and paint them red, wheres a good source with reasonable quality and prices ?

thoughts appreciated,
Bob

first off, do u have a 95/96, or newer year.. it makes a difference cause there different.if your lookin for clear tails (for 95/96), i got mine from streetbeat.com for like 135, but check around cause my friend got the same ones out of a magazine for 110. thats just for the outside corners. now i hear you can get the four peice set from somewhere for more money. you may wanna consider doing this cause if u decide to go red/clear, the clear parts dont match perfectly from the aftermarket light to stock ones, and itll be easier to match the red if you paint the 4 lower peices together. also, you need to buy the tailight paint to do this, its expensive but u need it. u can also get this at streetbeat for about 25 bucks a can. 1 can will do about 2 halves of the rear corners if you wanna make the red the rite shade of color.it took me nine coats to get mine the rite shade, so figure it like this.. if your gonna buy just the 2 peice tails, and go red/clear, get 1 can. to do the 4 peice set red/clear, get 2.. and so if your gonna go all red, you might as well get the 4 peice, and 4 cans of paint..plan on spending alot of money. lol.. id just go red/clear if i were you.. OH.. if you got a 97 or newer max, check out maximadriven.com, you can clear the stock lights without buying anything and there are instructions on how to do this under the how2 section.. anyway.. heres a pic of how mine came out on my 95..

maximadriven.com ? No go ?

It's a '99, I should have mentioned that...

maximadriven.com is not a server/registered domain name.
Is there another name I can use to get the info ?

thanks,
bob

I was thinking the same thing just a while ago. Except I would paint the orange purple. If I can find this color. I was told that orange/purple makes red. Anyone care to shed some light on this?
