Exedy Stage1 with the Stillen 7lb flywheel.
You will find that many Org. members choose the the Fidenza flyhweel.
They have given it rave reviews. I have yet to meet an Org member that was disastisfied with their Fidenza flywheel.
One big thing you will hear upon choosing a flywheel is not to go to light, or your launches will suffer. Many claim that too light of a wheel will result in higher RPM launches to compensate for it.
I have not experienced this with my flywheel and I have one of the lightest ones available next to the Stillen 5lb unit.
Im sure this is a true statemant for other cars, but maybe the max isnt effected due to its torque?
From the research I had done in the past on the Flywheels I found that Stillen and Unorthadox were manufactured from the same Co. with their names stamped on them.

MINE: Stock/Stock
What you should get: Stock clutch, lightened flywheel (don't really think brand matters much)

I have a ACT stage I and the Fidanza and love it! Last year I had the ACT stage II and Fidanza and damn near ruined my transmission! The ACT stage II was my favorite mod I had done but I ended up having to get a less aggressive one cause I destroyed my Fidanza and it couldn't be resurfaced, cost me $1000 for uinder 10k miles of use...oh well, lesson well learned! So far my current setup is awesome and I have no complaints!

i had stock, had a act stage 1 and now my new max has stock and im leaving it that way.

I hated the act for everyday driving, and stop and go, pedal was to stiff and it just became a pain in the a$$, i killed my motor mounts, and i sold my car but im sure the tranny was about to go like it does for most people with act.
maxima trans just cant handle it, even if you dont slam gears, it will still shortin the life alot.

If you dont plan and running boost or a some nitrous , dnt waste your money.

I never heard about lighted flywheel with stock clutch before , but that sounds like a nice setup !!
can anyone give some more detail ?

Beefier pressure plate with higher clamping force (supposedly 200lbs more) and all the parts fit right in. I have 5th gen clutch and pressure plate and I love it. The clutch grabs immediately after releasing the clutch pedal from the floor. Plus the sum of all parts is much cheaper than any of the "stage 1" aftermarket clutches.

Why 5th gen? Because the parts are a little bit cheaper (a few duckets here and there), and is supposed to have better clamping force over stock. I have it and love it. Clutch feel is linear, it's just smooth.

Cool! ACT has a stage 1!! All I could find is their modified street disk

I have an ACT disk (Stage I, I guess) with a stock flywheel. Great grab, but it is very heavy and catches very low (to the floor, almost) on the pedal.

does a lighter flywheel really make a huge difference? is it worth buying one? if so, which one is the best> do you get any problems from getting one?

I run this JWT clutch: http://jimwolftechnology.com/custome...asp?PartID=304 along with the Stillen (Aasco) 5.8 lb flywheel. I have no complaints at all.
