does any one else get this many miles on a tank?
does any one else get this many miles on a tank?
I just drove from ohio to michigan, starting out with a full tank, 210 miles of freeway with the cruise control set at 90mph. the other half was somewhat lead footed city driving (ie. shift at 20, 35-40, 55... with half throttle each time.) i went to get gas today and was still above E almost to 1/8 tank and had 415 miles on that one tank! i hear about everyone getting 200 - 300 miles a tank, i know most of those are all city driving but does it make that much of a difference?
Oh yeah. Highway and city are going to be a lot different and worse in the winter. A long highway drive in the winter will give great mileage with the cold, dense air. All the short little warm up drives make mileage suck.

After filling up I calculated that I had slightly under a gallon left at that point so I could've done 500+ for sure

dang! How slow were you going the entire time? 55mph?

two mileage error sources:
1. true mileage vs. gauge shown numbers (1-10%?)
2. tank full: 1-1½ gal filling error depending on where u do this filling (chassis angle during filling)
= my numbers seldom directly comparable to smbdy else's...
1. the more miles, the more error; 2. the more miles, the less error
