Ahhh....Help! Z rims won't fit....Son of a B....
Well as usual, no mod can go on without some drama.
Here is the ticket. Z rims....225/50's. Rub on the rear, can't even get them bolted all the way. Add 5/8 spacer. STILL can't get em all the way on....and then the studs get too short for comfort.
Simillar situation in the front. Didn't try the spacer. With the spacer they probably wouldn't rub...but then again the studs get too short.
Questions:
1. Can a rim/tire place add spacers and add longer studs? Is that common at any tire dealers that look somewhat performance oriented?
2. Even if they do add spacers and new studs...is it safe?
I REALLY don't want to give up these rims. They look PERFECT and with 225 sp8000's they should make this bad boy stick like crazy.
I have Eibachs if that matters. It seems that when you lower the 3rd gens the tires get closer to the strut.
Thanks guys,
Mike S.
