mine doesnt work either. I believe its just a matter of replacing the LED in the switch. I didnt know leds to burn out but could be the case in a 9 year old car.

does the heated seat still work? is it just one light or both?

it's not a led. Micro bulb. Pain in the **** to find. Hit up the local dearlership to find out if the have any that they have taken out of "warranty parts". You will need to take the switch out and take it apart. Once that is completed, you will see a little brown rubber holder. take that and the buld to the stearlship. show it to the parts guys and they might be able to help you out. If not, good luck with the electronix stores.

Mine's been out for years, but it doesn't bother me, I rarely look at it, just flip it. Also, there seems to be a misconception about LED's. Yes, they do have a life span. They begin to dim as they are dying. With incandescent, they seem to be either working or not, not dying or fading away.

leds have a life span, but from what I've seens its like a ridculously long span, but still possible.

we got LEds in 96, its in our cruise control button, all over the place in our bose. But as JSmax stated its not a led its a bulb which I should explain why it went out.

my driver side is out, but the heating fuction still works, passenger side is fully functional.should be a matter of taking out that switch dismantling and replacing the bulb with appropriate one, let me know how it goes going to replace mine as well, its not a big bother cause I dont look at it all the time, but it would be nice to have it light up when ever its on.
