My new Nissan Maxima QX

Hello

I've just bought used Nissan Maxima QX.

I wonder, what are the differences between European and US versions.

Greetings from Poland / Europe.

it says 2.4 in the back. Not a different crank right. That thing must have some increadibly thick cylinder walls.

It doesnt say 2.4 it says 24 as in 24V (24 Valve). It also has the airflow controller in between the middle air vents. The cup holder is also built in.

One more thing whats the button next to the shifter, and next to the radio (where the keys are) and the button under the radio. Extra buttons means extra gadgets.

I definitely like that grill better than the i30s here is the USA. It might have a VQ20DE or VQ25DE. It could possibly have a DD with direct injection but I am not sure if the gas is better there in Poland than here in the states.

I am definitely interested in what engine it has in it and what all of those extra buttons do.

Gas practically anywhere in Europe is better than in the US. Typical high octane for the US (aka premium, etc) is 93/94. Over there it's 99. Now, it costs 3 times as much, but that's another story.

Anyhow, nice ride Tobex_PL!

Everyone else: Jesus people, I thought you all knew more about cars. (especially you Europeans here! )

here are the specs on Tobex_PL's Nissan Maxima QX:

- 4 speed automatic transmission (5-spd manual also available)
- 24 valve, 6 cylinder
- 140 hp (1995 cc engine) - so basically a 2.0L
- an amazing 30.70 MPG fuel consumption
- top speed of 203 km/h
- no navigation (although many models came with built-in navigation)

...and to the guy above who said he's never seen a V6 in a 2.0 or 2.4L engine: Well how 'bout an everyday car like the Mazda MX3, huh?! ...Came with a 1.8L V6 since like 10 years ago!!!!!!

Last I checked the QX had 2 or 3 different V6s available. I wouldn't call an mx3 an everyday car since I haven't seen one in about 7 months.

I guess it all depends where one lives and drives. My friend once told me that he sees an M5 maybe once every couple months or so. I on the other hand, see at least one a week.

Before I moved, some 3 years ago, there used to be a tunning shop by my old house, specifically for Supras. Again, many claim they never see one, which is true because I haven't for the longest time now. However, back then I used to see many because Supras from all over Chicago would go there.

They exist. The Cefiros which are here in NZ have a 2L (VQ20), 2.5L(VQ25) and the standard 3L. The NZ Maxima however only comes with the VQ30.

Tobex, our Maxima's aren't actually the unique ones All those here from the US and Canada actually have the unique Maximas, as they're the only places in the world (well, mostly) where that design exists

Yep, Maximas here in NZ all have grey interior, so it may be the same worldwide. The Cefiro comes in black, tan and grey though
