Woodfield Nissan, IL can kiss my A$$!!!!!!
my girlfriend bought a 1999 fully loaded Maxima SE mid with bumper to bumper warranty mid November, 2004. A week after she purchased the car, I posted on here that the e-brake light remains on even when the e-brake is released. This happened sometimes... She called Woodfield Nissan every other day for one week, no reply...no one called her back... (I checked brake fluid...all ok) by the 3rd week, the e-brake light went off when it was released. Thinking nothing of it, she drove it normally until yesterday. Last night, she calls saying that the brakes won't release and when she tries to move the car back in the garage, a loud screech like metal to metal scraping sound was made, and that the car was hard to move, like the brakes were fully engaged.
Sure enough, the pads and rotors were FU*KED! The mechanics stated that the pads need replacement and the rotors were warped. Get this, they said that the rear calipers needed to be replaced because they weren't working properly.
they said that they were being nice and will eat half of the cost.
This would've never happened if they first, checked all of their used cars, and second called back when a customer calls with an issue.
Third... when i asked him how the calipers needed to be replaced...ROMAN, (used car sales manager) states, "ummmm... I don't remember seeing anything wrong with the calipers..." then when I asked are you replacing or grinding down the existing rotors... ROMAN: ("ummm...we will be grinding them down, and we follow all legal specs!" wtf... just a second ago he said they will be replaing all parts to new ones...
they're not even replacing the rotor...and charging her over $225!!!!! They originally wanted to charge her about $500
ridiculous!

I got so fed up arguing with him that I told him to do whatever they have to do...and hung up.
I will NEVER EVER recommend anyone there...nor will I be returning there to give them any business...
