Picked these up from an org member about a month ago and decided to get these installed. These gauges are made by Autometer and checked out there website but the instructions there are confusing. Anyone have a write-up/how to on how to install these?

 

Well, for the volt meter, it's pretty straightforward. But it really depends on WHAT you want the meter to keep an eye on. I have mine running to my amps to monitor voltage there. But when I first got my gauges, I had it running to 12v coming off the fuse panel. Either way is fine, I guess.

As for the tranny temp gauge, you'll probably need a temp sending unit (if it didn't come with one). I can only speak in terms of what I had to do for my water temp gauge - and that was to either tap into the actual sending unit or to use the sender that "normally" comes with the gauges (depending on who you brought it from...) and tap into the radiator (in your case, the tranny).

If you got it from an .org member, then you should have the tranny temp manifold. With the tranny temp manifold, you just have to cut the outlet line out of the tranny. With the ATF flowing thru the temp manifold, you can get a decent reading.
