Finally! I just got off the phone with H&R. The 20mm spacers that so many of us have been waiting for is coming in tomorrow or early next week. I can't wait to get these on!

Has anyone actually received their H&R spacers now and if so, from where? I have had 15mm on backorder from Optauto.com since October. They called me a few weeks ago and said they were STILL on muthaf0cking backorder....

I ordered some 15mm in early October too. I finally got fed up and cancelled the order in December. I hope they are really coming in for you guys, but a 6 month backorder?? That's way too long.

Does putting spacers on affect performance at all?

H&R claims that "wider is better," sort of like those old Pontiac commercials. There are also people who say that it could change your car's torque steer characteristics. Then there are the people who just get spacers for cosmetic reasons. Then there are people who get them so their brake kits will fit.

That's the only con I know of. Greatly improved looks and slightly improved handling are the pros.

Once you get them on you'll love 'em. I've had mine on for a couple months now and they make the rear end look sooooooooooo much better.

Let me know if you have any questions on the install.

Stupid question.....how exactly do they work? Do you just put them over the lugs and then put the wheel on, essentially moving the wheel out 20mm further? If so, I might have to order some to "even" out my new wheels.

Yep yep, but unless you get the 5mm spacers, they all come with new longer studs. You just hammer out the old studs, put the new ones in, and put the spacer on top of the brake rotor.

Awesome, thanks a lot!

Unfortunately, I am not mechanically inclined. Might have to get some local ORGers to help me out.

According to this site the two options are 12.85mm and 14.25mm for shoulder of the stud. I'm almost positive that what we want is 14.25mm but please don't take my word for it. I read it on another site which I've now forgotten.

THANK YOU for the heads up. I've been looking for these since October and no one has them at a good price. BTW, how much did Justin charge you for shipping?

I just received my 20mm H & R spacers today. I had 15 mm on order for 4 months. Mike from Option Imports called me and asked me if I wanted to switch to 20mm vs 15mm because he had received some. I told him sure, same price. Talked to him Weds and got them today (Fri). I think they were $124.95. Can't wait to put them on tomorrow. Good luck.

I'll pass on the ish. I put the spacers on this morning (took me 1 hr, I'm slow). I noticed that my rear axle is offset in relationship to the body. Wondering if anyone has some 15 mm spacers they want to sell so I can put 15mm on the passenger side and 20mm on the drivers side? That way, they'll end up with the same reveal to the fender.

Whoa, that doesn't sound good. Are you sure it's not an illusion because of the way the car was parked or weight on one side?

If your axle is offset like that, you should have the car inspected to see if it was ever wrecked.

Cute DJK. The offsett is only 1/4" off. I bet if you guys measure the reveal from the tire to the fender on your Max's it's different too. (wouldn't bet too much though!)

check the trailing arms on your rear axle beam. My buddy had a car where the the axle beam trailing arm was slightly bent, it was later determined that the car had spun out and hit the rear tire to the curb causing that damage. Let us know what happend
