HI, new Maxima 05 owner!!

Hi, my name is MO. I live in Pasadena Ca. and I work at UCLA.

I got my 2005 Majestic Blue Nissan Maxima SL as a valentines day gift from my girlfriend!!! Its pretty safe to say ...SHES A KEEPER!!!

More on my car : Driver Prefered package, black leather, power sunroof, etc.

Even though I love the car to death and wouldnt touch a thing, I was wondering a couple of things maybe you guys can answer:

1) The bottom turning lights (I first thought they were the foglights) that only come on when you are turning.....is there anyway to have them on all the time and blink when turning??

2) When I play a CD with text, is there anyway to make the info automatically scroll without turning the ****?

3) Do you actually "feel" a difference when upgrading the air filter to something like a K&N?? What about with a cold air intake?

4) Can you change the color of the amber front turning signals by simply changing the bulb? Or is the entire the entire housing that color?

This is all for now, you guys kick a$$ when it comes to finding information, I will check in regularly for updates.

Is there anyone else in LA or Pasadena?

Here in FL blue must be a rare color because I could not find on from 4 dealers. The closest one was in Miami. Please post pics. Congrats on your new car.

Congrats on the new SL... girlfriend is a keeper unless you can find one that gives you a BMW...hehehe. Anyway. I am not sure about your questions, and you may look like a spaceship with turning lights on at all times. Don't think so on filter. Wait a year and re-liven her. I have a Majestic Blue SE, have fun washing it... they look like a beauty clean, and the sparkle is quite magical.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies.

1) All I meant was that I'm used to seeing the lower lights used as fogs, and I thought it would improve the nighttime look.

2) Hmmm, no way for the info to scroll huh? Oh well.

3) So you guys dont think I should buy a CAI? Is it then purely for sound? They lie about the performance gains (~15HP)? If I do end up getting a CAI, the injen for instance, has the company fixed the bracket problem? How hard is it to install?

thanks in advance,

#1. these won't help with view down the road cause the shoot light towards the side. they are caller corner lights and for a reason. they only light up the corner when turning for better view.

#3. get a y-pipe and higher flow mufflers, then top it off with a cai for better flow through out the whole system and get the most out of it. you won't get 15hp this is so they sell the product, its been proven at the dyno the members have done. the braket still fails I guess.
