Sup all,
I was driving through the local hills here on the freeway, and realized I wanted to pass a guy driving way slower than everyone else (in the fast lane of course).

So I grab the shifter and push the OD button for it to grab third, so that I can make a passing move... Nothing happened. No light on the dash, no third gear downshift.

So I am on the freeway fiddling with the damn thing and realize that when I pull on the shifter (toward the armrest with the OD button off) the OD turns off, and the gear downshifts like I wanted. (And the light turns on the dash.) If I let go of the shifter from pulling on it, it just goes back in to fourth, with OD back on again.

Anyone know of this happening on their ride as well? Anyone know if it is a ground running through that switch to the TCM, or if it is more complicated? If it is just a loose ground, maybe it just needs to be sprayed and cleaned with switch cleaner, or needs to be attached to a better ground location?

Anyone have alot of experience disassembling the shifter and it's related parts? Maybe you can give me some tips...

Any help is appreciated... Thanks...
