could this be from my strut? which sounds like its banging around????

 

did you change your oil recently? The oil filter sits right above the right control arm. if you aren't fast when taking the filter off you end up spilling oil all over the area. Perhaps this is what happened. Otherwise I would take off your tire and examine the struts by pulling up the dust boot sitting on the strut. If that is all oily you can bet that you need new struts.
