the cover between the front passenger side wheel and the oil filter/belt was cracked, so i had to tear it apart. does it matter that there's nothing covering the belt and oil filter/pan now? or do i need to get it replaced? thanks for your help!

 

I wouldn't want any rocks hitting my engine.
