I'm researching Y-pipes and was wondering if people had feedback as to which what your experiences were.

I was originally looking at the Cattman JetHot a while back, but that's now discontinued. Then I was thinking the Cattman SS... The Stillen looks nice, but I don't know about the idea about having multiple pieces. On the other hand, I heard of fitment problems with the Cattman... To further complicate, I hear of WarpSpeed now, which seems REALLY interesting!

To further complicate things, I was thinking of going supercharger in the future, and both WarpSpeed and Cattman now both make 3" systems... But the 3" will seem to slow me down if I don't have any forced induction, and who knows if I'll ever get the funds together to do forced induction.

Any advice, opinions, and suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Well, from what I've heard, the Cattman is the best. The newer Stillen Y pipe seems to be alright as well. The WSP is the worst. My friend got one and it has a hole in it and it leaks and makes the car sound like a GM with a 3800 in it. (no offense Jon)

WSP

I have one of the WSP pipes with the bad bend by the hanger bracket. I'm going to fix that, but other than that i can't really notice the bee's sound that much at all esp over the cone intake i have. Except for the rattle i love the pipe.

yeah, i like cattman pipes. they actually look high quality and you get to deal with brian catts himself, rather than a big company like stillen. i'm neutral about warpspeed cuz i never had one of their pipes before. all i know is that it doesn't look as good - but hey, it's under your car anyway. if you've got the cash, go with cattman.

Ditto on the Cattman thing, you'll run into to fitament problems sometimes no matter who's pipe you get, that's just part of modding your exhaust. I love my Cattman pipe, and the Customer Service from Brian Catts.

How would you know what is the best? Price? which doesn't matter with a peice of steel, bees maybe but I really don't have a bee sound,
Well that was a defect in two pipes out of the many that they sold. They were very friendly about the problem and shipped me a new one asap, Dan and Dallas are the **** when it comes to customer service, If I would have got the pipe from Stillen, first of all it wouldn't fit as well from what I can gather, would definatly have the bees, and if it would have had a hole in it, it would have been hell to try and get another one sent out without having to mess with taking off the bad pipe, putting the factory back on, then putting on the new one, whereas with WSP they sent me a new one and now that I have that one I can take one off and put a new one back on. Anyway maybe Cattmann is the best, but WSP is the **** and theres makes more power I would bet cause it has less bends in the pipe. and even the one with the hole in it made an a$$ load of power for me. By the way the WSP got rid of a rattle in my car. As far as looks go I went the cheap way and got the Aluminized pipe and it looks fine and who cares it is under the car, when was the last time a car show had a bunch of cars on lifts to see underneath?

Calm down Jon, I wasnt insulting you. I was just saying that the Cattman seems to be the best one, I mean, it's not the most expensive one for nothing.

What you think I am mad meet me tomorrow and I will show you who is F#CKIN mad, B!TCH, oh wait I am just kidding, anyway I am not mad I was just saying that price really doesn't matter when your talking about a peice of steel that probably doesn't cost that much to make, I talked to kar kare and they said they could probably make one for cheap, granted it wouldn't have a flex section or anything and it probably would fit right but hell any one with the right equipment could make one? But you are right about Cattman it may very well be the best, but until someone buys all three and dynos them (on the same car, unlike the BS with the SI and the CAI which was on two different cars) Then maybe some one with alot of cash could do this and find out which one gives the best gains, Austin you have alot of cheese laying around why don't you try this?
Get some of those cobwebs off your wallet, shake some dust off the damn thing.
By the way you want to buy my clears?

Go with the WSP Y-pipe. I met Dallas and Dan today and they are extremely nice and knowledgable guys. They brought some Y-pipes and intake systems and the quality rivals my Stillen Y-pipe. They also brought out their new lined flex sections and it is quite clear that this will reduce the "bees" sound dramatically. I would have bought thier Y-pipe if they had the stuff out 2 years ago when I bought mine. BTW, my Stillen Y-pipe has always fit perfectly. The Cattman unit used to have a lot of fitment problems, but that seems to be fixed. If you want to save money and get a quality pipe, go with WSP.

I have the stillen

Don't dismiss the stillen pipe. I have the newer one and it is fine. No fitment problems whatsoever. Yes, I have the bees sound, but from what I understand, everyone does. Also, the noise is only there if you rev past 4500 rpm. But the car does make a different sound in normal driving with the windows open.

stillen y-pipe

i have the stillen y-pipe and i had absolutly no problems with fitting or anything else. i would defitnetly recommend it to anyone in the market for a y-pipe. i cant say much for the customer service. my y-pipe is the only thing i bought from stillen though.
