Or even a Bissel Big Green.

On the toughest mats that I encounter, I typically mist them liberally with general purpose cleaner, scrub with a brush, and then steam extract. If they're really, really, REALLY bad, they'll never come out perfect or even great, but in my experience this will make them as good as they can possibly get.

I clean carpeted floor mats the same way I clean the rubber ones. I hang them up in the car wash bay and use the high pressure wash. They come out very clean, and I've been doing it for 10 years and have never damaged one.

go to walmart and get a can of BlueMagic carpet/fabric stain remover in automotive section, then get a small dish scrubbing brush....and start scrubbing. That BlueMagic stuff if pretty good. Obviosly it will not fix wear on your floor mats, but it will clean them. Follow directionsoon the can. After that get a good vac and go over the mat. Let it dry.

Used to wash them at the car wash with the high pressure hose, but then some of the dirt still stayed in there and my shoes would get muddy when I started driving. Now I just take them home and vacuum them, then I put them in a big bucket and let them soak in soapy water overnight. Then I just let them dry the next day and vacuum them again before I put them back in the car - they come out pretty clean

a good way to prevent stains is to use scotch guards for capets(blue can) you can get it at home depot or Lowes. Best 7 bucks you can spend.
