Hey guys, Im not sure if any of you remeber me.. But I was on here about 2 months ago looking for information about auto-X mods and rims.. Well, I got a set of 15" rims for my car and got myself a set of kumho 712s for the races and have been doing pretty well. A friend of mine has been teaching me the robes and showing me how to drive and b.c of that Ive been beating a lot of cars that should bury me. Even though its 90% driver and 10% car in autocross its fun as hell to say I beat an Audi S4 or an integra with my stock auto Maxima.. Really is a blast beating cars worth twice as much as yours.. Well, let me get to the point, does anyone know where I can find out how to adjust my camber? Im getting way to much wear (when racing) on the outside of the tire and its not the air pressuse b.c I got 51psi in the front.. I was also wondering if any of you guys in NY do auto-X. specifically at Nassau.. The reason I ask is b.c the last event I was at there were 2 maximas (this past sunday).. 1-G4 SE and I think a G4 GXE.. The GXE sounded great (he definitly had some mods and would love to know what).. I think the SE was stock, both manuals.. And if anyone ever has questions about the sport feel free to ask..
Thanks
John

There is no provision for adjusting the camber on a stock 4Gen Maxima. You can do this with aftermarket parts. Camber adjusting bolts are inexpensive (Specialty Products is one of several companies which sells these). Camber plates are expensive (Stillen sells these). I have no personal experience with either method, so cannot recommend one over the other. Perhaps you can compare notes with other Maxima autocrossers.

Wrong air pressure won't cause this outside-edge wear. Wrong camber might, but wrong toe might do it too.

Re: auto x

A no wayy.. I was actually at that event.. My friend was racing.. Primer gray TT (he won FTD+ pax standings).. Hes the guy thats been teaching my the ropes.. Humm, maybe you saw me there.. I got there at 2:30.. I was in my black max and was talking with all the audi guys (big audi fan), i was also taking a ton of pictures during the tropy serimony... You should have been at the school, it was great.. Oh what tires are you running and what was your time at that event? Im running in STS, what are running? .. As for the next event.. ill probably be going to e-town in 2 weeks, next weekend is pro solos in VA so there are no events.. Did you know the guy with the brown maxima? I believe he was at the event 2 weeks ago.. he had steel rims + a mean sounding engine+ gray cloth interior.. I wanted to talk with him but i really didn't have a chance.. hopefully next time..

Camber bolts avail

I've got a set of Eibach bolts I'm not using. $15 if anybody can use. Think they let you adjust +1/-1 deg.
