Has anyone seen a car where someone made a barrier that seals off the area where the Stillen air filter sits in the front of the engine compartment?

I have seen cars with this but not the Maxima. It seems to me that the air from the stock scoop would provide cool air to that front compartment and provide the benefit of a cold air intake without having to bury the filter in the front of the radiator.
