FSTB for a 2003 auto??

Hey all, first post...

Ok, so Stillen's website states that their FSTB won't fit a 2003 with an auto tranny (but it WILL fit an 02 auto??). I gave them a call and apparently the engine sits higher than in the manual and the 02 auto, and there isn't enough clearance. I emailed Cattman about theirs, they say it would fit but they are out of stock, and they don't have enough demand for another manufacturing run yet.

Any 03/auto owners out there with a FSTB other than Cattman?

Sorry if this topic has been covered, but my google searches were fruitless.

The FSTBs on eBay work too I believe, not sure about you people with autos though...

I have this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

And people like the Otto as well:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

And yes, they work pretty much the same as the $12908575620976 Stillen one and the titanium Cattman one...

Btw, did ya try the instructions here for a Googe search? Just wondering.... cuz that really helps... I use that once in a while myself.... http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=368622

Yup, I tried it, but with this being an issue specific to the 2003 auto, I mostly got a lot of garbage. (2003 for the date of the posts, FSTB for almost every thread imaginable, etc)

Cool... just wondering....

Anyways, I'm pretty sure that the Otto/eBay FSTB works with an auto... but don't take my word for it... I'm sure some other people with autos will post at some point....

FSTBs work for 03 autos, and all FSTBs work the same. buy a cheap one that looks nice and save yourself some $$$.

I wish that were true, but alas, I quote the stillen website:

"This part does not fit 2003 Automatics"

As I said, I did call Stillen, and they confirmed that there is a clearance issue only with the 2003 Auto's. It doesn't affect 2003 6-spd or 2002 autos.

Sweet. Thanks. I guess this newb should have read the sticky posts more carefully. I think I'll go ahead and order the Otto. It's cheap, so if the washer fix doesn't do the trick I won't be out too much $$$
