Anyone use msd 6al on their maxima?

Someone recently told me thad msd might be useful on our cars. I just wanted to know has anyone every used the msd 6al box on our cars for more spark. I might buy it, but I don't want to if it's not worth it. Thanks.

So I guess you can't use msd with our ignition coil packs right?

Don't think they make anything yet. The way the coil packs work is the coil gets the power trickled in until it is signaled to release it. MSD takes the released energy and amplifies it. There is no room to add MSD between the pack and the plug.

You could use the HKS Twin Power DLI or one of its copy-cats out there, but they're not cheap and FAR from necessary since our OEM ignition is damn good until you get to 16psi or so.

Two MSD DIS 4 can be used with an adapter also made buy MSD for V6's with COP(coil on plug) set up. I have COP on a 92 Eagle Talon with a DIS 4(custom ignition). When you look at the gains vs the money spent it would be a waste. With the COP set up less power is lost between the coil and the spark plug. Cars with spark plug wires, high compression and very modified motors benift more.
