i have overspray on my rims
i had my car painted becaus,e of vandalism and the guy whom painted it did a lousy job of covering the rims. i have overspray and would like to know how do i get it off. they are polished with a clearcoat.
This happened to me, also. The overspray wasn't bad and my wheels are chrome. I took it back to the shop and pointed it out to them. They worked on it and made it better, but not up to my standards. It was a little tedious, but I used my clay bar on the wheels and it helped a lot. My wheels are smooth, simple design. Good luck ...

clar bar is your best bet.
I've used a pink rubber eraser to remove overspray in the past as well, but not on something as fragile as a polish + clearcoat.
your other option is regular cleaner/wax or polishing compound on a rag. Iv'e removed it that way as well...

DO NOT USE THINNER! Use an aggressive claybar before you use any type of thinner. I reccomend clay magic or the meguiar's aggressive claybar.
