Requires Transmission Disassembly

i was looking to change my fuild and the filter on my Automagic. Now when i go to autozones website it tells me that i cant buy a filter b/c the tranny must be taken apart to change the filter. Well if a quick lube store will charge me 90 bucks to change the fuild with a flush and filter change then how can it be that hard. Anyone have a good auto transmission write up for keeping it clean and good running condistion.

I am trying to remember when I changed my fluid. I know there's a screen in there. Usually you can clean the screen and the magnets and get away with it. There's no real filter in there per se; just a screen like the screens on your windows.

No filter to replace, just clean the screen. beware of the one nut / stud.
When I tried taking this nut off, the stud came loose and would turn with the nut.
This nut and a bunch of different sized bolts hold the screen to the VB.
