THeres a big difference here.

With the Apexi you are getting just the filter... no midpipe. So unless you plan to run it straight off of your resonator, remember you will need to buy a mid pipe.

Thanks for the response, I already have the Midpipe. Cool I think I will go with Apexi, but I have not found the right model # for 4th Gen maxima.

You have to buy the adapter for the apexi filter from Frankencar or make one. Apexi does not make an application for our car nor do any of the other applications work on our car. Buy the universal filter and make/buy the adapter

I like my apexi just fine, but remeber the filter can not be cleaned and has to be replaced every 30K miles or so.

It's a filter, not one is much better than any other. K&N are crap though as they have ****-poor filtering. The kool-blue are probably top notch when it comes to filtering and power gains. All filters are probably within 1-2hp of eachother.

Thank you for your prompt response. By any chance do you know what is the model number for the adapter? I know the model number for the Universal Filter.

I don't think there is a model #. Frankencar is the only place I have ever heard that makes one so just check their website. They have an adapter and apexi filter combo I believe.
