Get a banner on the windshield that says "DAWG" all in Japanese. You have to have the cool factor to get the fast factor Other minor things to consider, take off the cover on your intake, and get a really nice FRAM filter. The last suggestion is a 4.5" exhaust from the engine back. Now for the fast mods. Get an intercooler....the find the biggest one you can fit. Hook it up, and I'll tell you, that alone will make 1st gear and part of 2nd gear useless because all you'll do is spin the wheels.

The '90 engine is essentially identical to the 85-88 engine...I'm assuming the entire intake from your 88 has been swapped over, to avoid nasty rewiring issues...

There is an adapter on the 89-94 VG30E's that moves the oil filter so it is easier to reach, but this adapter is removable. The block, heads, and all internals are the same from 84 (introduced in the Z31) to 94 ? (The last it was used in the Maxima...could have been used later than that in the pickups and the Quest mini vans...not sure)

you should get a 30 hp wing for the back of it.... and a fart can too... and maybe some neon lights. I heard those neon lights add like 60 hp. and get a bunch of stickers of different brand names to put all over the windows. and a big printed emblem that says "MAXIMA" and stick it on the fender, partially overlapping the hood....

let's not forget to drop it 3/4" off the ground so that you scrape on roadkill. and lots of bass in the stereo is a must for making a car go fast. you're not fast unless people can FEEL you driving down the street past their houses.

my 17-year old cousin lowered his 2WD S-10 about 1" off the ground by completely eliminating the suspension. and then he put an edelbrock air cleaner housing over the TBI unit. I wanted to severely beat him like stupidity was a crime punishible by corporal punishment.

but in all seriousness.. talk to sarin. he knows his stuff. but even stock, these cars have some pretty respectable performance, in my opinion. but then, mine was a 5-speed...

and like I told all new people, stay away from the Bosch series spark plugs unless you like misfiring and jumpy timing. they're garbage in these cars. I have NGK platinums in both my sentras and I LOVE them....
