Does anyone make a brake upgrade kit that fits stock 17" rims?
I know this is probably been discussed to death, but I wasnt satisfied with the searhing I did on the forum. Im looking for a kit that uses Nissan logo calipers, Maybe rotors and pads too and SS lines. I dont want to have to source parts out or anything like that. I just want the ease of paying for everything at once, kinda instant gratification I guess. Anyway, sorry and thanks in advance!

Precision Brakes Company in Ashland, Oregon makes a kit with a two-piece 12.9" x 1.10" rotor and the smaller Wilwood Dynalite calipers that fits behind the stock SE wheels. They also make a cheaper one with one piece rotors, but those are heavy *****.
Their kit with the four-piston Superlite caliper does not fit. Here's what their four piston kit looks like

I had the same dilema recently, I was juggling between the SSBC twin piston and 12" rotor and the 300Z caliper with Matts hardware, I finally choose the SSBC kit, for a couple of reasons: The kit fit under my 17" aftermarket wheel, and it is brand new not a refurbish kit based on 10-15 years old caliper, still the 300Z are apparently very good on the maxima but my concern is they would not have fit with my 17" wheel and buying new wheel was not on my list for this year. I should have my SSBC kit early this week.

I would love to get a hold of some repleacement 2 piece rotors for my Blehmco TTZ caliper kit, those 04 Max rotors weight about 3 times as much as the OEM 00-01 rotors ! I was tempted at selling my kit for the Wilwood 4 piston kit with 2 piece rotor, as I seen them online for 1000 bux.

i Have Brembo Rotors - drilled and slotted - 10 1/2' front and 10' on back. what nice lookin calipers for the front could be recommended from presicion brakes.. anyone?? something simple and sporty.. thanks ...

My four piston kit consists of the GT Series Fixed Mount Rotor Hat (Wilwood P/N 170-6126) specially modified to a depth (offset) of .67" bolted to the 12.9" x 1.10" GT Series Directional Vane Rotor, PN 160-6833 and 160-6834. These are directional so there's a right & left side. My calipers are the four-piston Forged Billet Superlite.... I forget which PN's they are since I dont remember the piston diameters. Of course there are also two part numbers, one left and one right
The same kit with the Billet Dynalite calipers will clear stock SE wheels.

I would still like to know if any company makes a repleacement 2 piece rotor for the 04 Max, OEM suckers are REALLY heavy and I don't wanna sell my brakes so I can just buy the Brembo GT brake kit.

They won't clear stock wheels. They may possibly fit inside stock 17's, but will need spacers to clear the spokes. For any more info about them, contact Top Element directly, or I can help you out.

FrankenCar makes brake upgrades for the 5th gen. Using wilwood calipers, rotors/hats, and pads. Also available in different configs to fit your needs...and none of them i don't think hits the 2k mark. They also make them to fit the stock OEM 17's

Frakne cars go up to $1.7k, for the rears, but otehr than that they have some good options, but ocne again, not behind the stock wheel combo. I am also interested in but don;t want to buy a new set of wheels. Matts fit under the stock wheels in the 2k-2k1 models, but the 02-03 have slightly larger rotors, so it wont work with them. . . .

The kit that will fit is the one with either 12.9" (322mm) or 12.19" (309mm) x 1.10" thick rotors and these same calipers. The reason the 1.25" rotors wont fit is because they are so thick that they have to be mounted fairly far outboard to clear the lower suspension A-arm -also known as the transverse link. Thus, the calipers have to be also mounted fairly far outboard to be properly centered over the rotor; that fairly outboard mounting of the caliper is what causes wheel clearance issues. This is reduced by installing the 1.10" thick rtors which allows the whole assembly -rotor & caliper- to be mounted almost an eighth of an inch farther inboard which hence allows better clearance to the wheels.
Trust me on this.....I was the one who did all the measurements for the Precision Brakes kit -that's why I got all the parts at near-cost.
Having built my kit with the larger 12.9" rotors and having observed just how much more braking power one has over the dinky, sub-11 inch OEM rotors, I can tell you the smaller 12.19" x 1.10" two-piece rotors combined with the thinnest of the Wilwood calipers (see link below) will definitely clear stock, OEM wheels by just under a quarter of an inch and are more than enough brake for our application/vehicle weight...
