quick question hooking on dr up to a switch

so i got it all installed, and put the switch on the blank spot next to the gauge illuminator. it looks great. but with the two wires, do i plug to batt. and ground? there are three plugs i can hook up to, but only two wires. battery, accessory, and ground are the three. i've tried all of them i believe, and it feels like the tranny is shifting hard with the switch on or off. any input is appreciated.

yeah, its what us slushbox owners use to shift fast like a 5 spd. even though its not that helpful, it's ok. i figured everything out, 12 volt and the accessory were what i needed. thanks though

when you have a 3 prong switch you do not use the ground terminal. use acc and +. just take the 2 ends of the wire you cut and connect them to the acc and + on the switch.

Take a step back and explain what you're trying to do? It'll be easier to diagnose the cause if we understand the problem better.

Seriously, what is this "drop resistor" mod for? How does this affect transmission performance?

oh, sorry. i figured most people would know that DR means Drop Resistor. it allows the transmission to shift at 100% full line pressure, meaning shifter harder and faster than the normal lag caused my automatic transmissions.

Is this how the 3rd Gens had that Sport/Comfort switch on the console, by varying resistance?

Is this resistor effectively across two termnials of the TCU (tranny control unit)?

How does this affect transmission life?

How effective is this? I imagine it can't be nearly as effective as a valvebody rebuild...

Sorry about all the questions, I'm just curious to know how this works.

its similar to a new valve body in the terms of how it shifts, but valve body will help the tranny last longer where as a drop resistor wont...as far as i know anyways
