My bose stereo for my 95 max is acting up. Im getting the cd-err message almost every time now. I have read the stickies and its recommended i replace every resistor on one of the boards.

Has anyone just tried cleaning the laser and wondering if that helps? I have no experience in soldering resistors or even using a solder gun at all, so I am trying to avoid that.

Any suggestions?

 

My Bose system acted up as well, the cd didn't want to play at all, I asked some of the workers at a local car audio shop and they said that those laser lens cleaners don't work. I ended up just replacing everything.
