Rack & Pinion

I remember seeing a post somewhere else, but couldn't find it.
The '99 is the best one to get to replace it as far as I recall it, but is it safe to get a used rack and pinion due to possible damage that could be sustained with this piece. Comments?
Any good places to get this part?

Lastly, $200 to replace it. Good price? Bad price?

Comments and thoughts.....

ebay has nice steering rack with inner rods for $265.

And $200 to get it replace sounds good.

lift and power tools are must , the Y-pipe and engine cross member must come out first. I'd say it ain't so easy
