EGR Valve Code ?

EGR Valve Code ?
the check engine light came on today check it with an OBO scanner 2 codes came up (1) EGR Valve (2) crank position sensor Ref the crank position sensor i just change it a few months ago it should still be good i'm worry about the EGR Valve what does that actually do how do i replace it or get it fixed any reply would be greatly appreciated
