Drop Resistor Ohm rating...12 ohms or 12 mega-ohms

Does anyone know definitively the ohmage of the drop resistor? I have heard both 12 ohms and 12 mega-ohms. Makes a big difference. Thanks.

It is 12 ohms.

I have purchased a number of different sizes from 5 to 20 and put them in parallel, series etc to try and find a resistance that would just allow it change quicker without the bang at part throttle. However after a few hundred tries I finally decided it wouldn't work and just went with the WOT switch.

Do you have to take out the airbox to remove the drop resistor? I don't see how you could do it any other way.
