Canister type mufflers and 2k muffler owners.. lets see some pics

LIke the title says... lets see pics of your canister style mufflers... I saw one not too long ago that really caught my eye.

Also I want to see pics of 2k muffler owners. I'm thinking of getting one to quiet down the car.. I'm tired of the droning and noise. I want to see how it fits in the stock location.

yeah me too.. old age pwnz...

Umnmm you want quiet? Don't go with a canister muffler..

Try going with a RS*R exmag muffler, and two magnaflow 24" resonators...

Gawd, you guys got a lot more to go before even thinking that you are getting old. Back to topic, canister style mufflers look good if they don't stick too far down otherwise its ricey. As for the 2k muffler, isn't the tip rounded rectangular shaped one? I don't think the half-round cut-out on the rear bumper will match nicely with that.

I always forget to mention this whenever I post anything in an exhaust/muffler thread but I have always liked the sound of the G35/350z exhaust. I know that getting their exhaust is out of the question as this will be too darn expensive. But what aftermarket exhaust (catback + muffler) will accomplish the same sound?

I think any straight through muffler will sound almost stock with atleast 2 resonators.. I heard THT's Greddy SP2 this week, and I could not believe how quiet it was, it was alot like a stock muffler with a y-pipe.

check my website for pics of my muffler. it's a magnaflow canister. i think it looks really good. when you look at it from the side of the car it looks a little racey.

I know with a straight through muffler it will be loud... I saw one not too long ago I really liked, it looked like the N1 Turbo... Right now I have a small resonator on the car which I will be getting rid of and I"m going to get a bigger new one. But I Just wanted to see different types of canister ones and what they look like.

Problem with the 2k is what DR Max said.. the 2 tips dont exactly look right with a circular hole, thats why I wanted to see pics. Either way, if I get a canister style one I want to just barely stick out. Nothing crazy. I'm tired of the dual set up... I finally realized its really

Do you know or anyone know how long the B pipe from the cat to the first bend is? I found 22" mangaflow resonators. 2 of those = 44"... would that fit? And that RSR muffler looks very tempting... $250 for it

well actually you would need a 24" and a 18" resonator. Chunger is running a total of 3 resonators on his maxima, with no problems. I'm also thinking of going with a Apexi N1 turbo when i go sc, of with a bunch of resonators too..

I think I may go the N1 route with 2 big resonators from the cat to the bend... I dont mind a little noise, I just HATE the droning. And like I said, I'm just tired of the look, I may go for a turbo N1 in black or grey.

Ant why don't you just add an extra resonator on your current setup?

I'm tired of the look... it just doesnt look right to have 2 tips sticking out the back... I like the look of a muffler even if its stocking looking like the RS R muffler.
