Your car looks too immaculate to start sticking on stuff all over the interior. Those stick on kits never exactly fit perfectly, real or simulated brush. I'd say do it right the first time and take your time with it. If my car isn't pebble beige, then I'd paint the dash too. I don't really know what color of interior to do with my pebble beige. There should be a write-up somewhere about painting your own dash. I'm just waiting for all the rain to stop because I have a lot of modding to do: intake, AE headlights, tint bumper lenses, gotta finish a piece for my sub box, more.

First- Shut up.
Second- I owned a 1995 Maxima GLE before I bought my I30, hence my name
Third- The avatar is a joke that I stole from I30Mike that you wouldn't understand since you've only been here such a short time.
Fourth- Thank you for contributing so much to the thread.
Fifth- Leave now

In person, the gaps aren't perfect, but it's not really noticable in pics I guess.

The imperfection in the upper left corner of the middle panel doesn't look like it has anything to do with installation. Is that how all of Shadow's kits align? Looks like it's pretty much spot-on for the right edge but not cut properly to align on the left.

The more I see these kits, the more I prefer the subtle stock look. Clean look > * IMO

Unless you sand it down and prep it right. The painted surface won't be gloosy. It would just look like spray painted surface.

Well, from what I remember from the install, I could have done a better job if I had taken the dash out instead of trying to do it in the car. It seemed like the kit could fill out the spaces a little better, but to me the fitment seemed fine. I was just in a rush to install it.

2 da max- Yes there are more pieces to the kit, but due to the layout of the I30 dash, I can't use them all. I also chose not to install the gauge bezel because I already had gauge rungs. If you wanna buy the bezel for cheap, it's just sitting in my basement....

Ben's painted dash looks far better than any I've seen so far. But you can still see a big difference between painted and real aluminum. But why didn't you paint the piece around the AC?

I didnt think I could do it in a way that didnt look half baked. I dont think I could do a good enough job of masking it and painting to where it would look decent. So I just left it black.

Better that than a sh!tty paint job.

So I assume you can't remove the face from the controls?

That definintly looks good, maybe alittle to much "chrome" for MY TASTE, but I cant bash it, it really makes everything stand out alot more.

You can. But, the fan speed numbers and duct selector LED lenses are built into the face.
