gas smell and its not the filler tube

i have a gas smell around the back of the car, and it doesnt seem to be the filler tube. I think it is this black hose above it with a little clamp on it. Does anyone know what this hose is? or have something like this happen to you?

Does your car leak gas when you fill the tank? It may be your vapor return line then. Its one of the 3 fuel lines in the vicinity of the filler and it leaks only when the tank is full. Mine was leaking and when I filled my tank gas would drip out until 1/4 was used, then it would stop. I bought a replacement from Nissan and installed it, no more leaking. I would just get under your car and look.
