Extra ports on audio unit?
Extra ports on audio unit?
Does anyone know if there's a way to find out whether there are any extra ports on the back of my Maxima's audio system -- without having to actually take it out to check? Or maybe someone who has the exact same unit who has taken it out and can tell me?
It's the Bose Premium audio system in a 2002 SE - with in dash 6 CD changer. No SAT button (although I was told by the dealer when I bought it a week or so ago that it was satellite radio ready -- I didn't care about satellite radio and didn't think about my iPod at the time, so I didn't really pay attention and check whether he was making sense).
Thanks,
Scott

What are you trying to do, hook up your Ipod or a system? There is no good way to hook up your Ipod to the stock Bose but there is a way to hook up pre-amp out puts to hook up an amp. Also, you might get a better response here:

Yeah, looking to do the iPod thing. I did a search here and found a lot of information, and it looks like there are a couple of solutions that might work okay... if I have an extra port on the back of the unit (like for an external cd changer, or satellite radio). While I suspect that I don't have either of those, I just thought I'd see if I could get confirmation one way or the other.
