I am new to the maxima world, so I am seeking some advice.
Before posting I went out of my way to search all forums to see if my questions have not been answered already – I could not find it. So if you know that the question was already answered, please point me to the correct discussion/thread. <BR>
Here are my questions:
I have 2001 Ford Focus.., Just kidding!!!
I have 01 GXE and want to install fog lights. The car is already prewired, so hopefully I will not have problems plugging them in, however, my turn signal lever does not have a switch for the fogs. I want to know if it is possible to install just a regular switch using preinstalled wire that I am sure can be found in the steering column and how do I find this wire. Does anyone have a steering column wiring diagram for 2001 that he is willing to share? (Perhaps someone with a good hart could e-mail it to me to genanycATgmail.com?) I can not seem to find it anywhere. And it will take me few weeks to research and purchase some sort of manual.

Also, I found that the factory locks do not lock automatically when you shift to drive or start a car. I find it very annoying and quite disappointed with Nissan’s decision not to implement it. Is there any way to change it/modify it without installing aftermarket alarm that would do it?

that comes with the stalk and everything...it should be plug and play, and they have instructions listed on that page....

as for the auto lock..personally i dont really like this feature, so im satisfied that the max does not have it...i dont think you can get your doors to lock automatically stock, so you may have to get an aftermarket alarm (most alarms do this, even my friends 150 dollar alarm does it)
