Question: I just removed resonator and hacked air box...
Does the exposed hole where the removed resonator(under battery tray) tube connects to the intake snorkel need to be covered? The splash shield under the car seems to protect this hole from water, but I just wanted a second opinion.
Thanks
Thanks

I just hacked my air box, and stuck it with a k and n panel filter, and I couldn't be more pleased with the sound; very throaty. I left the resonator in my car.
don't worry about covering the hole...I did the same thing minus the hacked air box. It doesn't sound any different and it gives the intake another hole to pull from. If you really want a good sound, take the whole snorkel off. Although it's sucking really hot air, it sounds really nice at wot
If it's after the maf = yes If it's before the maf = probably not

It's the first resonator, the one before the MAF. I left the second one(between MAF and throttle body) on the car. I still have the removed resonator in case I decide to reverse everything when I sell the car. Thanks for the info everyone.
