Cleaning haze off of Chrome rims
Cleaning haze off of Chrome rims
i got the stock 01 se 17"rims factory dipped in chrome..they come with gold nissan emblems on the center caps...i used a wheel/rim cleaner shinner and that stupid thing must have spread rust or somthing from the gold emblem onto my rim...so i have like a few streaks of goldish rust on my chrome how would i go about getting it off...someone told me petroleum jelly i dunno does it work? or is there soemthing else?
I wouldn't go with the petroleum jelly. I'd exhaust some other avenues first, like a chrome or silver polish. I also have the chrome wheels. Anyways, the reason I say don't go with the jelly is that it seems far too messy and petroleum, in general, is a fairly strong solvent. It might do some damage. I've also heard goo-gone works well, but again, is a petroleum-based product. Anyone else with some ideas?
