buying a manual transmission

buying a manual transmission

my gears and bearings inside the transmission is bad and it needs to be replaced. where can i get a manual transmission? the dealer found a remanufactured one but way too costly. thanks

To put your pain threshold in perspective, how much were you quoted? Parts, labour = total.

Ouch! Sounds steep to me. Why don't you start by getting 2 or 3 more quotes? It's not as if they are the only shop in Columbus, Ohio.

you might wanna get one from a junkyard...there are some here in Toronto area for $500 USD or so
