Not sure where to post this, but I'm wondering how many members there are of maxima.org. I see at the bottom it states 47,916 but I consider that to be very unlikely. Is there a moderator that can verify how many members there actually are and how many are active.

Are inactive members ever deleted from membership to clean up the website?

I suspect there are no more than say 7,500 active members, considering the most there have ever been on at one time is under 800 and I seldom ever see more than 400 on at any one time, and that excludes guests.

Also what constitutes a guest and how do they get on? Are guests included in the 47,916?

I am an **** accountant and I need answers to these questions or I won't be able to sleep tonight, lol!

 

guests aren't registered and aren't included in the 47,916...the 47k are people who have signed up and chances are 2/3s of the people who have registered either posted very few times, if at all, or have moved on long ago. the guests are just people who aren't logged in and browsing.

 

That's what I thought re: guests. Which still begs the question, how many active members are there, eg. have posted at least once in 2005?

 

Thats a good question. I'm sure that the member count also includes those that have registered more than one user name in the past also?

 

very few people delete accounts. why would you when it takes 15 posts just to be able to start a new thread...
