Tinting Orange Tail Part?

I wanted to tint my tails but I wanted to know if I can do it without doing the clear mod on the orange part first. I dont want to waste the hours and I dont have any of the maerials or tools needed. How will it look if I just spray the orange part with tint spray? Does anybody have this...post pics if you do.

Thanks

Does the light still shine through orange when the orange part is sprayed?

i did this this weekend, i used hobby shop gloss black, it looks amazing, only downside is yes you can still see the light but unless you put it on exactly even you will see splotches when they are lit.

I used about 4 light coats of nite shades. I looks good at night and alright in the day. I think i should have taped it red first so it didn't shine orange through the black. But it definitely looks better than the ugly orange that was there before.
Take a look at my homepage if you want.

Does it make sense to clear out my tails before I tint them or its pointless?

it makes sense...sorta...cause you do pay a little extra..but you wont have an orange "glow" when you tint them...it will look pretty even all thoroughout the car.

tinting the tail lights make it look so much nicer IMO just dont tint them too dark, otherwise you're screwed
