Nice man, I should be starting here in about 2 weeks. I have a couple questions..

When you put the bend in for the reverse y-pipe, did you use a full 180 bend, or more like a140 degree bend?
Whats the width of your intercooler? (i hope mine its too big after seeing yours)
Where did you buy up your oil pan bung?

nice job..

one thing though, in this pic: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...8_203_full.jpg it looks like the intake pipe is resting on the turbo... hopefully that's not the case?

Yeah definately need to move the piping over some, and the turbo so that they aren't so close - otherwise you're going to melt that silicon coupler.

man your oil return is really close to your O2 sensor, when the engine moves they might hit each other or is it just the perspective?

I have a silicone coupler just about touching my down pipe and there is no signs of any damage from the heat.

The hose next to the turbo isn't a prob. Just trim a half inch of one of the ic pipes next to the radiator neck and you'll have the clearance. My return line rests on the o2 senser but you can get around that. Get an epoxy exhause fix kit ($5) and wrap it around the sensor. Then go to a race shop and get some insulated split loom and put it on the return line and zip tie it to the engine mount, crisis averted. Just make sure you don't have a kink in the line where it fits onto the nipple other wise to could blow out a seal on the turbo.

i like the idea of using split loom to protect the intercooler pipe that runs through the front clip

i was gona ask Y you biult a "reverse ypipe" but then read its a PFI kit

Since the o2 sensor and the oil return are going to move independantly?... you realize all of it is bolted together right?...

Thanx, well like I said I'm not finish yet, that pic I just lay it there and my friend took the pic.

Thanx Mike.

Thanx 93turbo gxe thanx.

spanishrice, well the y pipe come in two piece, that's the reverse y and another up pipe.yeah the oil rt was pretty close, but nothing is rubbing anything, just the way the pics look, the engine's not going to move now with the poly mount.

choray911,I know I trim some already, but need to trim some more, cause it's still rest on top of the upper radiator hose. But not touching the turbo, that pic was taking before I trim it,I'll take some new pics sat when I come back.

subs1000w,I like my thing nice and neat,no metal rubbing metal.I got that idea from the 18 wheeler, they used that split loom to protect everything, electric wire, air hose, fuel line and......

One other concern I've seen besides that intake piping being so close to the uncoated turbine is this pic...http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...8_196_full.jpg

You need to secure the IC(if you haven't) because this "notch" will allow the IC to move and it will keep pulling off your upper TB/pipe hose connector no matter how tight you make those T-clamps.

Others have just drilled through like on the drivers' side and not secured the IC without issues, but the one I've seen just like yours kept coming loose.

I agree it migh be a problem, but some metal straps can be used to keep the intercooler in place. I used two on each end bolted to the intercooler.

Good idea Mike, however I doubt yours needed them since you drilled vs. "notched".

I didn't need for fear of seperating pipes, but my bumper cover curves down under the intercooler really snug and I knew I would hear it banging and vibrating against it if it was not "pulled" up just a tad and supported more. Without the straps I still had a good inch of wiggle.

Straps were not my idea. My brother used them on his interooler for his s13 and he got the idea from someone else.

Ahhh the wonders of plumber's tape. Mike was yours galvanized? If not, you should probably spray some primer or clearcoat on them. You don't want to have rusty parts there.

Your feed and down pipe hug the transmission much better than mine. How much ground clearance are you losing....doesn't look like too much.

Well there is a long 90 deg bracket that weld onto the up pipe, that you bold onto the tranny housing,it's a pain to work on that pipe.

Yes, the down pipe goes back under the tranny and connects to the cat.
