correct, and they strain your alternator
the theory behind it is correct, storing power and whatnot, but using a capacitor for a stereo application is pointless. caps work better in computers and amps.

Leave the cap out. Any of the installers here will tell you the same thing. They aren't worth the $20. They are designed to store power for a VERY brief period of time. Past that split second they are no longer usefull. Ny using the correct amp wiring kit and/or sufficient gauge wire to the amp as well as a suitable ground, you should not have any issues. The myth that a cap will help your dimming headlight issue is just that, a myth.

hmm just because alot of people run caps doesn't mean they are good. just because alot of people run audiobahn subs doesnt make them good. for example: at an spl comp yesterday, a man was telling me he had "woofers" and not subwoofers which are much better than subwoofers. so i proceeded to ask him what "woofers" he had and he claimed "audiobahn and i think some tsunami". moral of the story is, alot of people talk like they know car audio but it does not mean they know anything.

btw dude, make sure you run your rca wires separtely from your power wires, because the distortion of the longitude will mess up the interference of the collaterl and cause excursional distortion

from what i remember the smaller the enclosure the sharper the bass will be. i could be wrong though.

. You should run the RCAs on the side opposite the power, because otherwise the power cable will cause interference in the signal cables which leads to noise in the system. 2 Da Max was just trying to be funny with his reasoning. See 2 Da Max, you're screwing people up here.
