Projector Guys - anything wrong with using this projector as part of a retrofit?

Its a halogen projector. Would this be able to house a d2s bulb?

That is the Bosch H3 mini projector designed for use as an auxiliary light. In other words, do not use it as a driving light only a fog light. It cannot accept a D2S bulb only a H3. This means if you want to use an HID bulb in there you must have it rebased to H3. However, the HID bulb will extend beyond the cutoff shield causing the light output to have a big black dot in the center.

I'm pretty sure halogen projectors will not give you the cutoff line that only HID projectors will give you.

my friend has HIDs in his integra, the cut-off is present but glares a lot....def. no no for HIDs in a halogen projector housing

unless the car comes with HIDs as an options or the projectors are good enough. my dads lexus lx470 has halogen projectors and the cut-off is very nice, he has 4700K HIDs and it looks really good, with no glare...

There are some that are decent. Some of the valeo projectors out there are H7 Halogen projectors, all you need to do is find the D2S bulb holder, and it works perfectly. But the other 90% of halogen projectors won't work and are not meant to handle D2S bulbs.

So you can get those projectors, fit them into the 4th gen foglamps and use an H3 hid kit?
