i officially turned in my famous 1HOTMAX nyc plates today. now i have regular new york plates. sad day today.

why turn it in? Just say u lost it, and they will give u new plates and u get to keep the old ones....

 

What happened i thought you decided to keep it?

 

is there a fee for replacement plates if you lose it?
i'm keeping the max and it will slowly be de-modded.

for california, it cost me i think 8 dollars to get new plates... i just told them i lost my old ones and they gave me new random plates for 8 dollars to cover the cost of the new plates. I just needed to fill out a form stating that i lost my old plates...

 

I dont know how much you have to pay, but before you go to DMV you have to file a police report. If only 1 plate is lost or stolen, its automatically classified as lost.. 2 plates go as stolen. Either way you will get a slip at the precinct that you have to take to DMV then you can get replacements.
