Im looking to get 4 components for my 97 max, so im guessing i need 4x 6.5s. My budget is 270 for each pair so 540 all together. What are the best component speakers i can get for my money?

 

pick up some rainbow components. why do u want 2 sets of components?
by 4 x 6.5 are you talking about coaxial speakers?

 

since you live in Bk, go to Don and get some diamond D6's for the front and D3's for the rear. i dont know how good the rainbow is compared to those, but rainbow is still an excellent brand for interior speakers

 

He means 4 speakers each 6.5" in size. I've been very please with my JL Audio components. And to be honest, you really don't "need" a component set in the rear. A nice 6.5" coaxial will work nicely there.

 

i was wondering about components too, alot are mentioning these rainbow components, im still checking out some other types, id prefer to hear em 1st. and why not install components in the rear, alot of people really dont bother to spend the extra for nice rear speakers, imo rear are just as important as the front, you will def notice a differance if you have good components in the front and regular 2 ways in the rear, id rather have the same set all around to complete that surround sound style audio.

 

I would love a great set of components for my rear. When I throw a sweaty pair of boots back there, I would like them to enjoy fine quality music........

 

Basically, the guy is working within a budget, adding a component set to the rear is just plain overkill.

 

not to mention mess up the soundstage...

 

So you guys suggest getting a pair of JL or randow components in the front and coaxials in the back? Any specific models in mind? Im sorry but im new at this, so i apoligize if my questions seem dumb to you.

...which is near impossible running with comps in the front and rear. When you are at a concert, do you ever notice how while the performer is in from of you, the music fills the ENTIRE arena? That's because all of the high-end stuff is up front. My brother has 2 sets of comps in his car and it sounds like all of the music is coming from the back Do it and you'll regret it.

 

So what speakers should i get in the back?

I have Rainbow Soundline speakers all around. Components up front and coaxials in the rear.

 

Rainbow SL165s...Don can give you a great price for them...you won't be dissapointed!!!!

music is recored in stereo 2 channels. not 4. just get a set of good comps in the front. stay away from infinity kappas. they dont have any midbass. if you do get rear speakers get a harmonizer.
