i have a 96 maxima..and i cant tell how to remove the front vents...not in the center console..but the one near the driver and passanger that you can close or open bu turning the **** (left or right)?...there seems to be 3 screews holding it in?..how do i loossen up the screws and what do i have to take thyem out?

 

I think these come out by removing the screws on the inside of the dash. You can get to them by removing the glove box and being very flexible (the pass. side) and removing the lower cover on the drivers side.

You'll have to take out a lot of things. Maybe even remove the dash panel. I've never done this but I did stick tweeters in my air vents on my old car by drilling a hole in the plastic pipe leading to the air vents and gluing them in place.

yea, i had to take out the dash to get to the 3 screws ( of each one), but im not sure if theres a way around that.
