i took out the corner bulbs, i took a file and filed down the top notch and plugged in the bulb backwards and wala! bright corners! did the same with the other side.

 

That's how I did mine too, but I used a 1156 bulb instead of a 1157 .

 

I did that too, only problem is that it really brings out the yellow tint in my PIAAs. When I drive with just my driving lights on people tell me it looks badas*. Oh well, what can you do.

 

i've tried filing it down before and it hasn't worked. can anyone explain in detail on how to place the bulb in backwards?

Ok, on the socket the bulb goes into you are supposed to insert the bulb with the high node fitting into the slot on the socket where it only goes down a little bit and the low node goes to the slot on the socket that goes down further. If you were installing it as normal, you would just insert the bulb the way I mentioned in the above sentence and then twist the bulb so it locks in place.

When you file off the top node on the bulb (file so it is just about flush) all you need to do to keep both filaments on (thus brighter) is insert the bulb in the socket backwards. I.E. Insert the the bulb so now the side of the bulb where the higher node used to be fits in the slot on the socket where the lower node is supposed to go. When you twist, the lock wont be as strong, but you can stick a bit of duct tape around the bulb to make it more firm.
