Help! Service engine light is on again.

Guess my Max has to visit Autozone to see what code I am getting. I changed the ignition coils and sparks about 15k ago. Are there any guesses as to what the next most common problem is?

Thanks. I Went to Autozone today. They pulled a P0430 bank 2, catalytic converter efficiency. They told me its probably an O2 sensor and for $74.99 they can get one for me. Is that the fix? I have 73k on the Max. Any advice would be appreciated.

Mine wasn't so easy... when the rear O2 sensor went (one one rear on the 3.0L), they said it was "fused" to the pipe flange (between the cat and the b-pipe). Then they wanted to charge me $350 to change a $25 pipe (not covered under warranty) and the O2 sensor (covered) and the ECU flash (covered). Sheesh.

Sounds like I am in for it. Autozone cleared the code for me. I can at least drive for a few miles like nothing is wrong. I do remember reading a post that mentioned an 02 simulator? Is that an easier way to go?

After 4 days the code is not showing up anymore. Are there any preventative measures that I can do to prevent this type of problem?

no preventative measures. Sensors, electrical equipment just go when they want. Get it fixed and you should be ok

Same issue. Nissan cleared a code for me that I believe they said would work for about 4,000 miles and I have been maybe 600 and its ON AGAIN... I have the high flow cat and I think thats the problem. Talked to the guys at custom enterprise and they said that has been a typical problem with the aftermarket cat, and the Nissan dealeship wanted a reprogram for around $475.... DOUBT IT!!! Which they said they also "must change the o2 sensors also" I don't think so, I only have 61,000m on my max
