staggered rim setup

im looking into getting a new set of rims for my car. i thinking of a staggered setup (wider wheels in the back) i know a few of you have done this. im wondering how wide of a rim in the back can i go without rubbing? whats the lowest offset i can get? how wide of a tire can i stick back there?
theres a bunch of g35/350z staggered rim sets on ebay. i think they are 9.5" rim on 275/30/19 tires. will those fit? any help is appretiated.

Man, go for the staggered rims FOR SURE. They look so good. I know this is no help to your question, but I just thought I'd give my support of the staggered rims choice.

They will rub in the back, you'd need to get new tires.

I have the staggered set up. 19x9.5 in the rear with 275/30/19. No rubbibg issues however you have to be careful with the offset. I have 45mm offset and clearence is close, so I wouldn't suggest any lower than that.

once again a thread with a simple question gets filled with opinions on what he wants to do with his car......he just asked if they would fit, the rim and tire sizes and rubbing issues.....he didnt say are they worth it, or does it make a difference in handling. Looks like he likes the look so leave it alone, his money his car. we all are here to help on what everyone wants, if he wants wider tires in back, just answer the questions he asked, or at least put both an answer to his question and your opinion...not just your opinion... well good luck with your set up.

Well put! Another thing to consider, is the fact you can't rotate your tires with a staggered setup. But like I said, it looks incredible!
