Adjusting the IACV of FIAV when should you do it?

When should this be done? If you have read my previous post we are restoring a 92 maxima that was sitting for a a few months.

So far we have changed/checked/replaced the following:

1) Sparkplugs with NGK Plats
2) PCV Valve
3) Coil Packs
4) Throttle body

So we checked and or cleaned all that but the idle is still sitting at 1500 rpm.

Now Im trying to figure out should I remove the whol IACV and get in to all that or just attempt to adjust the screw?

What do you guys think? Any write ups to adjust that?

Thanks

Proph

try adjusting the screw while its idleing to see if you can get it to idle lower

could also be the bolt that adjusts the throttle butterfly needs to be closed more

the FIAV only raises the idle 100rpm and is controlled by the ecu, so there's nothing for you to do there.

So what exatly is you car doing? it always idles at 1500, and does not drop? I guess its possible that the piston in the IACV seized. Maybe dissasembly and a thurough cleaning might help. Just remmember to get a new IACV gasket.
